A short piece of dance and live music inspired by the book War Doesn´t Have a Woman’s Face by the Nobel Prize-winning writer Svetlana Alexievich, stages a woman dressed as a man who questions other women in the audience, giving them a voice, making them feel important. It includes a version of the song La llorona, popularized by the singer Chavela Vargas, emphasizing the human and sensitive side of the feminine to end with a positive and optimistic gift that leads us to perceive that everything in this world is in a process of continuous change.

✴︎ I live alone. I have no one in this world.
I thank you for coming to see me

—Svetlana Alexievich
