DANCE, DANCE … WE WILL BE LOST OTHERWISE
CONVERSATIONS ON DANCE AND NEW MOVEMENT LANGUAGES

We will carry out an unpredictable journey through the world of contemporary dance based on the concerns of those present and our own personal experiences. The goal is to bring the new languages of contemporary dance to the public with the intention of generating knowledge and interest in this world so unknown to some and with so little chance of being able to approach it in live shows.

Teachers: Zuriñe Benavente and Ignacio Monterrubio
Duration: 60 minutes (approx.)
Needs: depending on the amount of audience a projector or screen.

Zuriñe and Ignacio have been collecting information and experiences around the new languages of the movement for more than four years. They organize danZálava, a project aimed at dance professionals in Vitoria-Gasteiz, where they carry out an intense public awareness through open shows where professionals such as Daniel Abreu, Guillermo Weickert, Mónica Valenciano, Victoria P. Miranda, Katie Duck or María Muñoz, among others, have approached their way of understanding dance to the public.
