on September 25 at the Felix Petite theater in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain)
Altraste Danza presents MIENTRAS LLUEVA, an intimate and close to the public piece where the music, dance, texts and video projections are mixed. On it, Zuriñe Benavente and Ignacio Monterrubio make us travel between the past and the present, between the not resolved dreams and those that need to be resolved.
A travel where continuous references to universal figures like Mariana Pineda, Martin Luther King, Federico Garcia Lorca or Manuel de Falla are present, with also personal and intimate references that makes the public to live the piece in first person with a very deep complicity towards what is happening there.
This fusion of contents and the closeness and complicity with the public are the mark of this company that in this new production has been able to work with an exceptional team.
Is time to sleep, sit down.
I have thousands of questions for you.
I wasn’t expecting you.
A little child is sleeping in my belly, did you know it?
It’s very weird.
Many times I would like to cry,
Now I wanna cry.
You’re still there, right?
I trust your heart, sit down.
